Mechanical bull rentals have been around for a long time. People always wonder whether they are safe for the general public to use. The answer is absolutely yes — as long as you are working with a reputable, professional mechanical bull rental company. Phantom Entertainment is one of those companies.
Why Phantom Entertainment Sets the Safety Standard
The owner of Phantom Entertainment holds an Advanced Level II NAARSO Inspector License. NAARSO stands for the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Organization. He is also a licensed AL2 Amusement Ride Inspector for the State of Pennsylvania. Both of these inspector certifications ensure that Phantom Entertainment will only operate in a safe, yet enjoyable manner for all participants.
Phantom Entertainment inspects their mechanical bulls for rental parties every time they are set up. This makes sure that the mechanical bulls are safe for all ages. It doesn't matter where Phantom Entertainment travels — whether it is Carlisle, Harrisburg, Lancaster, State College, York, or any location in Pennsylvania — safety is always our top concern.
What Makes a Mechanical Bull Rental Safe?
The Operator Must Stay — Always
Mechanical bull rental companies should always provide a trained, alert operator to control the mechanical bull. Never rent a bull from a company that drops the equipment off at your location and then leaves. If they do, you become completely liable for any injuries, and your lack of experience operating the equipment could seriously hurt people.
Phantom Entertainment has been in business for over 46 years. That's a lot of experience — and a lot of safe, fun events.
Always Ask for Proof of Insurance
Insurance is required everywhere, so if you contact a mechanical bull rental company, make sure they can provide you with proof of insurance — typically called a Certificate of Insurance or a COI. Phantom Entertainment's insurance is A++ rated, and we'll provide a COI at no charge.
A Quick Checklist Before You Book
If you are considering a mechanical bull rental company other than Phantom Entertainment, double-check these points:
- Are they licensed and inspected? Look for NAARSO or state-issued amusement ride credentials.
- Will a trained operator stay on-site? If not, walk away.
- Can they provide a COI? Never rent from an uninsured company.
- How long have they been in business? Experience matters when it comes to safety.
- Do they inspect the unit at setup? Pre-event inspection is non-negotiable.
Follow these steps and hopefully you will have a safe and fun mechanical bull rental — wherever your event takes place in Central Pennsylvania.
